Description
Don't let the sun set on this Herbaceous Peony! Instead, plant Peony 'Coral Sunset' in the middle of a sunny, herbaceous border where its large flowers will turn heads when they appear in May. As the spring progresses, the pretty pink colour of these blooms will fade into a subtle apricot. However, they retain their ruffles and bowl-shape until late June, making this hardy perennial well deserving of the gold medal it was awarded by the American Peony Society. Height: 80cm (2'7"); Spread: 55cm (1'7").

3 bare root peony plants (KB3181)
1 peony collection (1 bare root peony plant, 1 x peony & herbaceous plant frame & 1 x 100g peony fertiliser) (KB3139)
1 bare root peony plant (KB2690)

How to Grow
Grow peonies in a sunny or semi shaded position. They prefer a well drained, rich fertile soil. This is best achieved by adding with plenty of well rotted manure or compost to the soil prior to planting, ensuring that it is mixed in thoroughly and deeply.Plant herbaceous peonies at a depth of around 5cm (2") below the soil surface. Planting too deeply may delay flowering.
More Info
Water regularly until peony plants are fully established. Thereafter, herbaceous peonies require little maintenance and will grow happily for many years if left undisturbed. However, they will appreciate a mulch of well rotted manure or garden compost applied around the base of the plant in spring. Plants may take several years to establish before they produce their spectacular peony flowers. Caution: harmful if eaten.
