Stiffly upright, sword-like foliage crowns the top of a thick woody stem, making this plant easily recogonisable. Yucca elephantipes is a commonly seen house plant, widely grown for its structural, contemporary appearance. In time it will grow to magnificent proportions, creating a superb focal point. This impressive Yucca is easy to grow, and unlike many house plants, it will happily tolerate a bright, sunny position. Height: 10m (32'). Spread: 4.5m (14').

Flowering Months
Geraniums are guaranteed show stoppers, performing whatever the weather. The vibrant blooms will cascade from baskets, window boxes and fill patio containers with colour all summer. Requiring deadheading to provide further flowers, they will bloom from mid summer right up to the first frosts. In shades of reds, pinks, whites, oranges and purples. Height and spread: 30cm (12").
Pot up pelargonium plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise geraniums to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions in containers, beds and borders. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, non-acidic, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
Feed and water plants frequently. Deadhead faded geranium flowers to encourage more spectacular blooms to be produced.
