Flowering Months
Lotus berthelotii requires reliably moist soil – never too wet or too dry. Water regularly, in moderation. Parrot’s Beak is a tender plant which will require a minimum temperature of 11C (52F). Overwinter potted plants in a cool conservatory or frost free greenhouse.
Pot up plugs and grow them on in warm, bright, frost free conditions. When plants are well grown, and all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over 7-10 days, before planting in their final positions. Choose a sunny position on moist, well drained soil.
