Description
A brand new strain of edible FUCHSIABERRY from our own breeding programme. Be the first to grow what is fast set to become the next big health food craze. Not only does the FUCHSIABERRY produce large sweet fruits packed with vitamin C and nutrients, it also produces beautiful blooms right through to autumn.

This decorative fuchsia plant is the perfect addition to garden displays, but the heavy fruit yields make FUCHSIABERRY a worthwhile addition to allotments too, helping to create a pretty and productive plot! Though frost tender, as with many other fuchsias, FUCHSIABERRY can be kept through winter if protected in a sheltered spot or in a greenhouse. And once you've tasted the sweet juicy berries you'll want to do just that.

The fruits have a flavour somewhere between a fig and a kiwi. For those without space to grow fruit, FUCHSIABERRY allows gardeners to keep things ornamental while at the same time producing a worthwhile crop from a hanging basket or patio/balcony container. Each plant will produce between 200-300 juicy berries, maybe more if there is another fuchsia nearby to pollinate it. Unlike other fuchsias it will keep on flowering even when producing fruit – right up to the first frost. Order yours now while stocks last!

How to Grow
Plant hardy fuchsias into light, well-drained soil in sun or part shade. When growing in containers, use a quality, well drained compost such as John Innes No.3. Pinch out the growing tips of your fuchsia plants once, to promote bushier growth and more flowers.
More Info
Feed and water plants regularly throughout the growing season. Deadhead faded fuchsia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced. Apply a deep mulch of bark around the base of hardy fuchsias in autumn to protect the roots from winter cold. Take care not to mound mulch up against the main stem. Prune stems back to a low permanent framework in spring.
