Euonymus alatus 'Compactus' is a compact form of Spindle Tree. The oval, green foliage turns to spectacular shades of pink and red in autumn, creating a superb focal point. The flowers are small, green and unremarkable, but the fruits that follow are brightly coloured, splitting open to reveal orange seeds within. Even in winter, this deciduous shrub provides inerest in the garden. The falling leaves reveal intruiging corky bark giving a winged appearance to the branches. An excellent choice for borders and woodland gardens. Height and spread: 1.5m (59”).

How to Grow
Grow Euonymus plants on moist, but well-drained soil in full sun or partisl shade. Plants will tolerate exposed and coastal gardens, and may give better autumn colour when grown in full sun.
