Description
Deutzia gracilis is a compact hardy shrub, perfect for sunny patio containers and borders in small cottage gardens. The Japanese Snow Flower is named for its pure white flowers, which both look and smell fantastic during the late spring and early summer. The plant's deciduous foliage is attractive too, for it can easily be grown into a neatly rounded, green bush. Height: 1m (3'3"); Spread: 1m (3'3").

More Info
Feed and water Deutzia plants regularly until fully established. Once established, Deutzia shrubs will require little attention. After flowering, cut back the flowered shoots to a pair of healthy buds. On mature plants, remove a fifth of the oldest shoots from the base of the plant. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or other organic matter around the base of the plant after pruning.
