Here's an improved version of an already popular dahlia. We've tweaked this cheery little dahlia for even better performance in patio containers and front-of-border displays. Shorter, sturdier plants will need no staking, and remain short right through the season, so as not to block out other plants in your border schemes. There’s no loss in flower size, so you still get to enjoy the striking red and white striped blooms, with their vibrant yellow central eye. These sturdy dahlia plants will flower in as little as 8 weeks from planting and will continue right though to the first frosts.

Flowering Months
Feed and water dahlias regularly throughout the growing season. While plants are still young, pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage bushier growth and masses of flowers. Deadhead faded dahlia flowers to encourage more blooms to be produced.
Pot up Dahlia plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise dahlia plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting out in beds, borders and containers. Choose a position in full sun on any rich fertile, moist, well drained soil.
