Description
Graceful fronds rise from a central woody base, arching gracefullly at their tips. Commonly known as the Japanese Sago Palm, this slow growing evergreen house plant takes many years to reach maturity, so you can be certain that it won't outgrow its space. Cycas is ideal for adding a tropical feel to bright rooms and conservatories. Height and spread: 150cm (59").

1 x 21cm potted cycas plant (KA2889)

How to Grow
Japanese Sago Palms are best positioned in a warm room with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). Choose a bright position in good light, but away from the glare of direct sun.
More Info
Water freely between spring and autumn using tepid rainwater where possible, and allowing the pot to drain well after each watering. In winter, reduce watering, but do not allow the compost to dry out. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Handle Cycas with care as the fronds are easily damaged and replacement fronds take a long time to grow.
