Description How to Grow More Info Delivery
Coffea arabica makes a handsome house plant, with dark, glossy foliage and a bushy growth habit. Although it is unlikely to produce a crop in most UK homes, under ideal conditions, the Arabian Coffee produces fragrant white flowers in spring, followed by small fruits. Coffea makes a fine specimen plant for a humid room in bright, filtered light. Height: 120cm (48"). Spread: 100cm (39").

Water Coffea regularly, allowing the soil to dry out slightly between each watering. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Coffee plants appreciate a humid atmosphere - stand plants on a tray filled with pebbles and water. As the water evaporates it will increase humidity around the plant. Misting the foliage daily with a fine spray will also help to improve humidity.
Position Coffea plants in a warm room away from cold draughts and radiators, with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). Coffee plants prefer a bright, but lightly shaded spot, away from the direct glare of the sun.
