How to Grow
Codiaeum needs careful placement if it is to thrive. Position in a warm room with a constant temperature above 16C (60F). For the best leaf colour, choose a bright position in good light, but away from the glare of direct sun - an east or west facing window is ideal.
More Info
Water freely between spring and autumn using tepid rainwater where possible, and allowing the pot to drain well after each watering. In winter, reduce watering but do not allow the compost to dry out. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth. Croton appreciates a humid atmosphere - stand it on a tray filled with pebbles and water. As the water evaporates it will increase humidity around the plant.
