Description
With shiny green foliage and fragrant white flowers in late spring, then again in late summer and early autumn, the Mexican Orange Blossom shrub is suitable for contemporary gardens and 'white gardens' where only plants with white flowers are planted. Choisya ternata are neat, compact and low maintenance. They are tolerant of exposed and difficult growing conditions, including coastal gardens. Height and spread: 2.5m (8').

How to Grow
Plant Mexican Orange Blossom in any well drained soil in full sun, with shelter from strong winds. Partial shade is tolerated but foliage will be less golden in this situation. Alternatively grow Choisya in patio containers filled with loam-based compost such as John Innes No.3.
More Info
Water regularly throughout the growing season until Choisya plants are well established. Mexican Orange Blossom requires little attention, but benefits from a trim each year to keep it neat and tidy. After flowering, trim or lightly cut back shoots to a healthy pair of buds. Apply a mulch of well rotted manure or compost around the base of the plant in spring.
