Flowering Months
Water frequently to maintain evenly moist compost. Avoid leaving Chlorophytum in standing water as this may cause it to rot. In winter, reduce watering but do not allow the compost to dry out completely. House plants should be fed regularly between March and September when they are in active growth.
Chlorophytum enjoys a brightly lit spot away from direct sunlight. Avoid the full glare of the sun, as this may bleach or scorch the foliage. Spider plants can cope in cooler temperatures down to 7C (45F) but prefer a warmer position of around 15C (60F) to 24C (75F).
