Description
Grow these vibrant tender perennials in containers, on the patio or in the conservatory. The curious blooms of Calceolaria Calynopsis Collection are a real treat in spring, creating a bright splash of colour and a fabulous talking point. Plant them in sheltered, acid borders or containers of ericaceous soil. Although they are often grown as annuals, these mound forming evergreens will happily surviuve the winter in frost free conditions. Where possible, move containers to a warm greenhouse or conservatory before the first frosts. Height and spread: 30cm (12").

5 x 9cm potted calceolaria plants (1 of each variety) (KB2830)

How to Grow
Grow Calceolaria in moist, well drained, non-alkaline soil in sun or semi shade. Alternatively plant them in containers using an ericaceous John Innes No. 2 compost mix.
More Info
Feed and water regularly throughout the growing season, but take care not to overwater as this will cause the plant to rot. Container grown plants may be moved to a frost free location in autumn, and returned outdoors in the following spring when all risk of frost has passed.
