Description
Agapanthus 'Fireworks' is a very easy to keep variety that will get bigger and produce more flowers each year, with foliage that stays on the plant throughout the season, the long leaves also provide great groundcover. Agapanthus require little upkeep, performing well on the poorest of soils, and in the confines of a patio pot, where good drainage is provided.

How to Grow
In their first year, your agapanthus plants will need protection from winter frostsm in spring, grow agapanthus plants in rich fertile, well drained soil, in a sunny position. When growing Agapanthus in patio containers use a soil based compost, such as John Innes No.3 .
More Info
Feed and water African Lilies regularly throughout the growing season. Leave faded Agapanthus flower stems intact to enjoy their architectural seed heads during autumn. When the first frost blacken the seed heads, cut the stems back to ground level. Protect plants outdoors from severe winter weather by providing a dry mulch of bark chips or straw in late autumn. Container grown plants can be moved to a frost free position over winter. Divide agapanthus clumps in spring when they become over crowded.
